We stock two types of pins to secure weedmat sheets, tree mats and rabbit guards to the ground.

The first are galvanised steel ground staples, 130mm (5 inches) in length.     The downside to these staples is that they don't degrade quickly in the earth.  If you're going to be mowing or strimming the area you will need to go and retrieve them so you don't damage your equipment or yourself when you hit them with a blade.

We prefer the EcoPin - a realtively new product to the market.  It's environmentally friendly and manufactured in NZ from 100% biodegradable products.  It is slightly longer than the metal pin at 170mm with a unique fluted shaft for better holding.   If you count the labour costs of retrieving the metal pins - the eco-pins are also the cheaper option.
