Apricots

Decorative and productive trees suited to many regions around New Zealand. Most are self-fertile though some (as noted) often produce heavier, more regular crops when grown with a companion variety.

Moorpark Apricot Tree
Tom Cot Apricot Tree

Moorpark

Though some overlook this one as its skin can crack and blemish, many believe the flavour is second to none. Mid-season fruiter, it's well-suited to cooler climates around the country.

Tomcot

Nearly peach-sized freestone fruit with a firm, juicy, amber fllesh prized for its 'true apricot' taste. Compact trees are mid-season fruiters cropping best with another variety nearby.

Katy Cot

A good, self-fertile freestone variety for warmer climates. It's a smaller tree than other varieties, but with early ripening, large fruit making for delectable eating.
