Gouda Hard Cheese & a demonstration of quark.

Saturday 5th May 1-6pm and

Sunday 6th May 10.30 - 11.30am

This workshop will teach you the skills to make any artisan cheese you like (such as Gouda, Cheddar, Derby, Colby,, Monterey Jack).  

Each Participant will make their own Gouda to take home and enough knowledge to hellp it mature into a culinary delight.

Also a demonstration and recipe hand-out for Quark.

you will need a press to make your Gouda.  Some extra presses are available for use during the weekend.

Price per workshop $105 includes all ingredients for your cheese, recipes and a cheesey afternoon tea.

Willow Weaving Workshop

Peter Greer from Willow Works in Golden Bay grows and weaves willow into baskets, wigwams and sculptural forms.

From time to time he runs a workshop at his property where folks tackle a project over one or two days.   It's a great skill to learn and a lovely place to learn it in.

 

Blacksmithing Workshop

The great blokes from the Pigeon Valley Steam Museum are collecting names for people interested in learning the art of Blacksmithing.

If you've got a project you'd like to tackle, whether it's making an anchor for your boat, shoe's for your horse or a log basket for your fireside take your idea along and get hammering.
